Desarae “Dee” Lashae Manning, age 30, a lifelong resident of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at St. Vincent's Riverside. She was born on June 12, 1996, and was the daughter of Hazel (Himes) Young and Richard Manning. 
Dee was fiercely independent and sometimes hilariously stubborn. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Dee’s vibrant, bold personality and untamed spirit left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She was a one-of-a-kind woman who lived life on her own terms and will always be missed. 
Survivors include her children, Douglas and Emory Higginbotham and Isabella Hendrix of Maxville; father, Richard Manning; mother, Hazel Young; brother, Ayden Manning; sisters, Mercedes Manning, Mary Manning, Heather Lambert, all of Jacksonville, and Angelica Lambert of Odum, Georgia; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
A private Celebration of Desarae’s Life will be held.
