David Nathaniel Rewis, age 55, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. He was born on February 22, 1971, in Jacksonville to Elna (Yarbrough) and Nathaniel Rewis.
David had lived in Baker County all of his life. He was a devoted husband, caring father, and loving grandfather who enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, mudding in his side-by-side, and hanging out with his family and friends. 
David was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert Rewis and Francis Burnsed. Survivors include his beloved wife of 23 years, Nancy A. Rewis of Glen St. Mary; son, Nathan Rewis of Raiford; daughters, Ashley Black of Lake Butler and Leslie Todd of Glen St. Mary; brother, Manly Rewis (Judy); sisters, Linda Lagel (Marvin), Margaret Stone (Les), Debbie Vazquez (Johnny), and Joyce Burnsed (Tanya Sanderson); and grandchildren, Carmen, Adia, and Lane.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 19697 Crews Road, Glen St. Mary, Florida 32040. Come enjoy good food, share memories, and spend time with family and friends as we honor David and the life he shared with those who loved him.
