Obituary

David Thomas Johnson, age 64, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away surrounded by family and friends at his home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, under the care of Community Hospice. He was born on July 11, 1960, in San Diego, California, to Sandra M. (Murphy) and Thomas Earl Johnson. After high school, David joined the military. He proudly served his country as a Helicopter Technician with the United States Navy for nine years. He began working with Anheuser-Busch in Jacksonville and retired with them after 25 years. In his free time, David enjoyed being outdoors cooking on his many grills, hunting, coaching and playing softball, and cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. A caring husband, father, PawPaw, and brother, spending time with his family was his greatest joy. David was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife of 42 years, Kathy Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Rebman Johnson of Jacksonville; daughters, Kristen Nicole Johnson of Jacksonville and Kelly Leann Mack (Austin) of Callahan; brothers, Daryl Johnson of Plant City and Thomas "TJ" Johnson (Carrie) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; grandchildren, Daisy Mae Mack and Kason David Johnson; along with numerous friends and family. David will be laid to rest at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
