Obituary

Clinton Everett Horne, age 60, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville after an extended illness. He was born on December 4, 1964, in Bangor, Maine, to Betty Lou (Lowery) and Cecil Horne, and had lived in Baker County most of his life. Clinton was a 1983 Graduate of BCHS. His fondest memories of those days were when he played football for the Wildcats. Clinton excelled at this during his high school career and considered moving on to play college ball. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and of course, being such a huge fan, cheering on his Florida Gators. His greatest love, though, was his wife and two girls. Clinton was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Betty M. Horne of Glen St. Mary; daughters, Kentleigh and Ava, both of Glen St. Mary; brothers, Cecil Horne Jr. (Kelly Ann) and Melvin Horne (Renee), both of Macclenny; stepmother, Rose Horne of Macclenny; and nephew, Ridge Horne. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastor David Thomas and Pastor Timmy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the dedicated care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL AND CREMATION, 380 N. Lowder Street, Macclenny, Florida 32063. (904) 259-2806.
