CJ Carroll Jr., age 57, of Cuyler, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family under the care of Vitas Hospice. He was born in Jacksonville on September 16, 1967, to Joanne (Carter) and CJ Carroll Sr., and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. CJ was a devoted father, son, and uncle who loved watching UF and Philadelphia Eagles football, NASCAR, and boat or shore fishing. He was a solid, hard worker. CJ worked Civil Service at NAS Jax as a Jet Fuel Mechanic Trainer for 33 years. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him. CJ was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Paul Carroll Sr. and Kevin Carroll. Survivors include his sons, Cameron Carroll and Chase Carroll (Mason), both of Cuyler; mother, Joanne Thornton of Cuyler; sisters, Sonya and Crystal; along with nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Sandlin officiating.
