Charles "Charlie" Hamilton Smith, age 48, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born on March 4, 1973, in Augusta, Georgia, to Judith (Jackson) and Charles H. Smith. Charlie moved to Jacksonville 16 years ago from Augusta, Georgia, and worked at All About Blinds & Shutters. He enjoyed playing and watching all sports and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Charlie is survived by his father, Charles H. Smith of The Villages; mother, Judy Bentley of Augusta, Georgia; children, Caleb Smith, and Haley Smith, both of Augusta, Georgia; siblings, Kerri Hodnick (Michael) of Evans, Georgia and Grant Bentley (Hope) of Johns Island, South Carolina; step-siblings, Alison Tihey (John) of Evans, Georgia and James Bentley (Holley) of Atlanta, Georgia; and one grandchild, Finnley.
