Cathryn Michele Butterfield, age 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Community Hospice Douglas Center for Caring. She was born on April 22, 1947, in Irvington, New Jersey, one of five children to Edith (Wilson) and Norman Goodner. Cathryn was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who focused her time on the love and care of her family. She loved the Lord and was a member of Elevate Life Church. Cathryn's warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who love her. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Gary, David, and Marty. Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Wayne D. Butterfield of Jacksonville; son, Richard Davis (Kimberly) of Maxville; daughter, Michele Rousselle (Roland) of Middleburg; sister, Martha Norton (Tim) of Green Cove Springs; grandchildren, Michael Rousselle (Mallory), Joshua Davis (Taylor), Christopher Rousselle (Kara), and Zachary Davis (Jessica); and nine great grandchildren. A committal service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
