Mr. Byron D. Padgett, age 54, of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021. Byron was a  father, grandfather, brother, and son who dedicated his life to hard work and the care of his family. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Padgett Sr. Survivors include his sons, Byron D. Padgett II (Mary) of Middleburg, and Michael J.D. Padgett of Orange Park; daughters, Meagan Rexrode (Andrew), Caitlin Cooper, and Morgan Padgett (Sydnie Davis), all of Jacksonville; mother, Grace J. Padgett of Maxville; brother, John D. Padgett Jr. (Robin) of Middleburg; sisters, Rhonda McKellip (Bill) of Middleburg, and Cindy Crenshaw (Ben) of Maxville; grandchildren, Byron D. Padgett III, Atticus Padgett, Kaydence Rexrode, and Scarlett Rexrode; and significant other, Shannon Rose. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Maxville with Pastor Richard Fish and Pastor Paul Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Nolan Ridge Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
