Mrs. Betty Georgean Dunmire, age 70, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, July 14, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 9, 1948, in Warren, Ohio to Arthur and Mausie (Ferguson) Spillman. Betty was a member of Raiford Road Church, and she loved spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Every morning she made time to read her bible, and she enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family. Betty was an Avon Representative for nearly ten years and won many awards for her dedicated time, knowledge of products, and her kind demeanor. For many years she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting after her retirement from Macclenny Products as a seamstress. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy Dunmire; sisters, Bulia "Connie" Williams, Olive Realty, and Ruth Welch; brothers, Donald Spillman and Zearl Spillman; along with brother-in-law, Roger Dunmire. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Alvin B. Dunmire of Glen St. Mary; daughters, Tracey Anderson (Joseph) of Glen St. Mary, and Tina Sanchez of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Florence Griffiths of Ohio; brother, Leonard Spillman (Paula) of New Mexico; grandchildren, Tyler Trail (Dora Sepulveda) of Indiana, Travis Trail of Florida, Allen Trail of Florida, Christopher Sanchez of Nevada, Nicole Ahumada of Nevada, Jacob Ahumada of Nevada, and Victor Aguilar of Nevada; great-granddaughter, Brooklynne Gallagher of Indiana; brother-in-law, Larry Joe Dunmire of Ohio; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Eddie Griffis officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm following the service at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with Pastor John A. Raulerson officiating.
