Bernice Eddy Harris, age 85, of Bryceville, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018. She was born in Taylor, Florida to the late Lee Albert "Bert" Eddy and Mattie Crews Eddy. She has lived in North East Florida most of her life and was a member of Otis Road Church of God. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stephenie Lynn Acton, and son-in-law, Steven Lee Acton. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband of 68 years, Fred Sam Harris; children, Tony (Ann) Harris, Donna (Bruce) Cannon, and Cherie Acton; sister, Jewell Higginbotham; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the chapel of Blackburn-Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery, Maxville, FL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
