Barbara Denise Browning, age 50, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at UF Health Jacksonville after a brief illness. She was born on March 6, 1967 in Jacksonville, to John Shafter and Norma Jean (Carson) Browning. Barbara enjoyed crossword puzzles, putting jigsaw puzzles together with her mother, playing video games with her nieces and nephews, drawing, and entertaining kids. She loved helping raise her nieces and nephews and spending time with her family. Barbara was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Barbara is survived by her siblings, Michael A. Browning of Jacksonville, FL., Cecil A. Browning of Callahan, FL., Helen E. Hertzog (Jeff) of Jacksonville, FL., James A. Browning of Jacksonville, FL., John P. Browning of Jacksonville, FL., and Mary E. Browning (Tim Brown) of Hilliard, FL. She also leaves behind her aunt, Florence "Tot" Irving of Tellico Plains, TN., numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
