Ms. Barbara Carter Boyd, age 77, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, peacefully at her home. She was born on September 23, 1943, in Plattsburg, New York to Crieghton "Clayton" Harold and Catherine Margaret (Babbin) Carter. Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had been a resident of Baker County since moving here from Lake City in 2000 and was of the Christian faith. Barbara enjoyed NASCAR and putting jigsaw puzzles together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 9 years, Walter Boyd. She is survived by her sons, Albert "Clay" Green Jr. (Lisa) of Glen St. Mary and Richard Lee (Jessica) of Macclenny; brother, Clayton "Sonny" Carter (Cherry) of Lake Clear, New York; sisters, Sandra K. Carter of Lake Clear, New York and Linda Sue Eisendrath of Minneapolis, Minnesota; best friend and sidekick, Walter A. Barton of Macclenny; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Memorialization is by cremation.
