Barbara Ann Berndgen of Havana, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but was raised in Alabama. There she met her husband to be, John Wayne Berndgen. They were married in Troy, Alabama, on January 11, 1953. They were married 71 years, having three children, Mike, Barbara Gail, and Zack. Barbara enjoyed dancing, fishing, and the sunshine, but most of all, she loved her family and always watched "very closely" after them. She retired from the Florida Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for Deaf Services after 30 plus years. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Anna Mae Johnson; her husband, John Wayne Berndgen; and son-in-law, John Hill. She is survived by her children, Mike Wayne Berndgen (Marie) of Fort Lauderdale, Barbara Gail Hill of Springs, Texas, and Zachary Wayne Berndgen (Wendy) of Havana; grandchildren, Michelle Marie Berndgen and John Michael Berndgen, both of Ft.
