Barbara Anne Bell, age 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. She was born on August 1, 1943, to Clyde Lester Smith and Margaret May Persinger Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years, David Bell in 2015, along with a great-grandchild, Aiden Daniels. Mrs. Bell was retired from the Duval County Schoolboard after 33 years of service at Whitehouse Elementary. She loved crafts and making flower arrangements. Survivors include her son, James Bell (Belinda); daughters, Tammy Bell Green and Sherri Bell Graves (Bryan); 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Jessie Smith; stepsisters, Carolyn Oaks-Bright, Margie Sims, and Patsy Freeman; along with numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Otis Road Church of God, 801 Otis Road, Jacksonville, Florida with Pastor Stephen Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Friday morning until the hour of service at the church. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
