Arthur Kenneth Sproch, age 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center South after a lengthy illness caused by Agent Orange. He was born on February 14, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, to Arthur W. and Eva (Sloan) Sproch and has lived in Jacksonville for the past 32 years. Arthur was a licensed pilot who built and flew full size aircraft as well as R/C planes. He served this nation faithfully during the Vietnam War as a Scout Dog Handler with the United States Marines. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Arthur loved God, his family, and this country. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Sproch. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Margaret Anne; daughters, Tabatha Anne Matthews (Jimmie Dale) of Macclenny, Tammy E. Sproch-Boyd (Greg) of Mandarin, and Theresa Marie Grogan (Jonathan) of Nevada City, California; sisters, Linda Ploskin (Hank) of Lakehurst, New Jersey, and Susan Anderciak of Middleburg; grandchildren, Taylor Marie, Selah Marie, Sydney, Logan, John, Nathaniel, and Maegan Marie; great-grandchild, Cirilla; and his beloved canine companion, Lizzy Lu. Interment services with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
