Anne Elizabeth Bird Kerr, age 92, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Ortega Gardens Memory Center. She was born in Jacksonville on November 22, 1933, to Helen (Brown) and Vernon R. Bird.
Mrs. Kerr was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, she went on to a rewarding career as a kindergarten teacher at Highlands Baptist Kindergarten and retired after 30+ years of teaching. Mrs. Anne was an accomplished singer who performed gospel songs for her church and was invited to sing the National Anthem on opening day for the Highlands Little League season each year. Her lifelong priorities were Jesus and her family. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Bird; son-in-law, Phil Deems; and beloved husband of 58 years, Furman Daniel “Dan” Kerr. Survivors include her son, Danny Kerr (Amanda) of Macclenny; daughters, Debra Deems of Jacksonville, and Kimberly Kerr of Maitland; sister, Joan Bird of Baldwin; grandchildren, Phillip Deems II (Angela), Krista Deems, Megan Kerr, Christian Allen (Morgan), and Daniel Kerr (Morgan); and great-grandchildren, Bailey Kerr, Kylee Allen, and Amelia Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Glen Baptist Church, with Pastor Chas Roland officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
