Alan Groves Bucky, age 77, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Community Hospice Center for Caring at St. Vincents Riverside. He was born at St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital on October 18, 1946. Alan graduated from Robert E. Lee Senior High School and attended Lake Shore Middle School and Fishweir Elementary. He also attended the University of Florida. With his major being Mechanical Engineering, he loved drag racing, fixing combustion engines, reading automotive magazines, and gardening. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Grace (Barnett) and Fredrick W. Bucky, Jr.; sister-in-law, Glenda Bucky; and nephew, Chase O'Bannon. He is survived by his brother, Lance G. Bucky of Lilburn, Georgia; niece, Caroline Bucky; nephew, William O'Bannon; and wonderful friends. A private Celebration of Life will be held.
