Sivalingam Kumaravailu

Sivalingam Kumaravailu, age 69, of Middleburg, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka to Sidambaram Kumaravailu and Thangamma Karthalingam. Sivalingam journeyed several years and halfway across the world from Sri Lanka, through the Middle East, to Italy and finally reaching the United States to become a proud US Citizen. He was a caring stepfather who enjoyed being in the kitchen practicing his culinary skills. He found comfort caring for animals, and worked very hard to provide for his family. Sivalingam loved helping others in need and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Jeevaratnam (Santhi). Survivors include his wife of 25 years, S. Thavamani of Middleburg; stepsons, Selvaratnam  Sivapragasam (Suba) of Orange Park, and Yogaratnam Sivapragasam (Premila) of Orange Park; stepdaughters, Selvarani Carter (Raymond) of Orange Park, and Thilakarani Nages (Patrick) of Middleburg; brothers, Karthalingam Kumaravailu and Visvalingam Kumaravailu; sisters, Rajalakshmi, Suppulakshmi, Jayalakshmi, Vijayalakshmi, and Danalakshmi, all of Sri Lanka; along with 9 grandchildren. 
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Orange Park Church of the Nazarene, 3212 Moody Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32065. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Reverend Crystal Riner officiating.
