Sean Nicholas Owens, age 31, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2019, in an automobile accident. He and his family were originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, but Sean went to school in Baker County and graduated from Baker County High School in 2006. He always went out of his way to make others feel like they belonged. Sean enjoyed basketball, being reckless and having fun on BMX bikes, but his passion was writing songs and rapping.
Sean is survived by his mother, Trish Owens-McLamb and stepfather, Stephen McLamb of Taylor; sister, Kayla Michele Owens of Salt Lake City, UT; grandparents, Glenna E. Benson of Taylorsville, UT and William “Bill” F. Owens of Sanderson; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
An informal, casual gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00-9:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2019, out in the pasture at Sean’s family home in Taylor. A reflection of Sean’s life will be shared at 7:00 pm. The family asks that you come as you are. Bring blankets, chairs, frisbees, footballs, and anything else you feel like bringing. ALL ARE WELCOME.
In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to your local mental health facility or institution.
