Mrs. Paula Phyllis Bouchard Taylor, age 66, of Sanderson, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Acosta-Rua Center for Caring surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 27, 1951 in Willimantic, Connecticut to Leo Joseph and Phyllis (Robideaux) Bouchard.
Paula married the love of her life, George Linwood Taylor on September 27, 1969. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor taught her grandkids how to play Rummy with her. She loved to challenge them, and she never let them win.
Paula had worked for American Alarm in Jacksonville for 15 years and was also a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband of 48 years, George L. Taylor who passed away on January 17, 2018. She is survived by her children, Kelly M. Ferguson of Sanderson, George M. Taylor (Tanya) of Bellview, and Katie L. Sullivan (William) of Glen St. Mary; brother, John J. Bouchard (Annemarie) of Canterbury, Connecticut; grandchildren, Joshua, Joey, Collin, Rachellyn, Lauren, Sarah Beth, Wyatt, Megan, Marissa, Zachary, Joseph, Brandon, Emma, Alexandra, and Zach; and many great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Paula’s Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Glen Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Arnold Johns and Pastor Dale Hodges officiating.
