Ms. Kelly Ann Stephens, age 28, sadly passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at the Orange Park Medical Center. Kelly was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida and was the daughter of Charles Edward Stephens and Tonya Kicklighter Padilla. She was a kind and loving fiancé, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend but the role she cherished first and foremost was that of Mommy. Kelly had a spirit of putting others needs before hers and as an organ donor, her legacy of giving lives on to help another. She was a wonderful person whose light shown to briefly on this earth.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Joann Kicklighter; paternal grandfather, Joseph Mann; stepfather, Henry Padilla; and aunt, Rebecca Kicklighter.
Survivors include her fiancé, Jason Godwin of Jacksonville; sons, Gannon Godwin and Braxton Godwin; daughter, Bristol Godwin; stepsons, Jason Godwin Jr. and Aiden Godwin; paternal grandmother, Thelma Louise Mann; father, Charles E. Stephens (Jaclynn Knowles) of Sanderson; mother, Tonya K. Padilla of Jacksonville; brothers, Derrick Stephens of Chattanooga, TN and Michael Stephens of Sanderson; sister, Tiffany Doughty (Shawn) of Jacksonville; stepsister, Victoria Sevilla; uncle, Charles Kicklighter, Jr.; aunts, Edna Mann, Crystal Summey (Joseph), Cindy Simpson (John) and Lisa Manning (Richard); niece, Makenzie Shingler; nephew, Shawn Doughty; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Betty Godwin of Maxville; as well as numerous cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Fouraker Road Baptist Church, 1754 Fouraker Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32221 with Pastor Ody Witt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
