Carolyn Jane Dyes, age 77, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019. She was born on September 16, 1942, in Jacksonville, Florida, to John and Pauline (Brinson) Dyes. Carolyn moved from Jacksonville to Baker County with her family 45 years ago. She enjoyed going to church, taking care of her family, and was of the Pentecostal faith. Carolyn loved collecting frogs and was an advocate for saving animals. Her best friend, Tanna Mae, a Doberman mix, was her most cherished rescue ever.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Jack Dyes and Gerald Dyes. She is survived by her children, Carl Thomas Perdue (Cynthia) of McRae, Georgia, Terry Neil Perdue of Macclenny, Kathryn L. Perdue Corns (Tommy) of Macclenny, and Tammy Perdue Zoller of Macclenny; sister, Linda Hullett of Middleburg; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Moose Lodge 2412, 150 S. Lowder Street, Macclenny, Florida 32063.
