Camble "Lee" Swinnon Leopard, age 85, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully at home under the care of Vitas Hospice on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born on April 5, 1939, to Wardine (Stephens) and Camble Washington Leopard in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Lee had lived in Detroit, Michigan, and Hollister, Florida, but moved to Jacksonville to be with family and retire. He proudly served in the United States Army for six years with a tour in Korea. Lee was a welder by trade and enjoyed working with Millbrands Roofing. He was a "Mr. Fix It" and loved working on projects with family and friends. Lee was a member of the VFW Post 3349 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 184. He will be remembered as a father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Winford Lepard, Ernest Lepard, Paulie Lepard, and Mildred Lepard. He is survived by his loving and devoted children; Camble S. Leopard, Jr. (Amy) of Cleveland, Georgia, Terrie Wellhausen (Kevin) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Glen Leopard (Kristina) of Anthony, Florida; mother of his children, Deanna Leopard; brother, Fulton Lepard; grandchildren, Tyra Master (Wayne) of St. Augustine, Brandon Leopard (Jamie) of Hawaii, Shelby Leopard of Texas, Christopher McGillis (Emily) of Arizona, Chad Driggers (Merissa) of Jacksonville, and David Leopard of Manhattan, New York; seven great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Long Branch Cemetery with Dr. Albert Starling officiating.
